It is scientifically proven that many of the chemicals spewed into the air are carried in the direction of Maine. These dangerous chemicals that are going into the air are measured in tons. Yet the Bush administration is working hard to weaken and gut environmental measures to reduce and, in some cases, eliminate some of the chemicals coming primarily from coal-fired plants in the Midwest.

These chemicals, mercury among them, are causing dangerous, life-threatening health problems especially on women and children and the unborn. These chemical also cause “acid rain” that is harming our trees, plants and waters, including our fish supplies.

How long are we going to allow the irresponsible actions of the Bush administration to help big corporations while harming American citizens and our precious environment?
