I am absolutely disgusted with the media in this country, and the Sun Journal isn’t much better.

Our military personnel deserve better.

Does anyone like being in Iraq? The answer is no, but we are forced to be there until the threats are all gone. Make a headline that is positive for once.

Example No. 1 from the April 8 paper. The headlines were “U.S. bombs mosque” with a subhead of “Insurgents used site as military base.” The headline should have said “Insurgents hiding in and using their mosque as a battleground.”

Friday April 9. There’s a big picture of our brave military personal kneeling down behind a personal carrier making them look like they are afraid and trying to hide. The caption says “Death toll continues to climb in Iraq.”

Name one war where there was not death. It is hard enough to know that there will always be death. Reminding us of that fact is not going to change it, but the media are playing into the hands of the enemy and they are using it against us and promoting it to their favor.

I, for one, do not need to be reminded 24/7 about the mounting death toll as I feel it in my heart. That kind of reporting is hurting our military personnel and their families and assisting the wrong people. Let’s see some positive reporting of the fact also.

Remember Rome? Mark my words. The liberals will be the downfall of this nation some day.
