SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The wedding of Sarah Elizabeth Sanders and Andre Michael Levasseur was held at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 at Holy Cross Church. The Rev. Brian McGrath officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Levasseur is the daughter of Ronald and Anne Sanders of Springfield, Mass. Mr. Levasseur is the son of Andre and Jeanne Levasseur of Auburn and the grandson of Richard and Patricia Potvin of Auburn.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white organza in A-line style with beaded Schiffli lace accents on the bodice and skirt and a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of large white roses, pink sweetheart roses, purple freesia and seeded eucalyptus.

Leslie Cirelli, childhood friend, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Brooke Blake, Lisa Bova and Cara Connors, college friends, Meghan Babcock and Katie Slater, cousins of the bride and Amy Levasseur, sister of the bridegroom. Abigail Levasseur, 14-month-old daughter of the couple, was the flower girl.

Theodore Theriault, friend of the bridegroom, attended as best man and ushers were Aaron Blais, Matthew Blais, Joseph Dionne, Benjamin Lachance and Christopher Madore, friends of the bridegroom, and Kristopher Shigo, college friend. Caleb Labrie, godson of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Parwick Centre at the Park Inn in Chicopee, Mass. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield, Mass., and a 2002 graduate of Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. She is employed by the Lewiston School Department.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Lewiston High School and a graduate of Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. He is employed at Per Se’ Technologies.
