PERU – Marie “Alice” Libby, 95, formerly of Route 108, Peru, died Saturday, April 17.

She was born in Rumford, a daughter of Frederick and Eugenie Girouard. She attended Mexico schools.

She was employed for 32 years with Oxford Paper/Boise Cascade.

She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne in Mexico.

She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, reading, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Richard A. and his wife Nancy of Peru; a sister, Yvonne Duguay of Auburn; a brother, Albert Girouard of Roxbury Notch; two grandchildren, Holly Bulger of Buxton, and Tina Harmon of Rumford; three great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kelsey Bulger of Buxton, and Zackery Harmon of Rumford.

She was predeceased by her husband, Russell C. Libby.
