LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens had an Easter meal April 12 with 40 members and a guest present.

They will have their monthly Chinese auction on Monday, April 19, and their monthly meal from Seniors Plus on Monday, April 26. Salmon pie is on the menu.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture led the business meeting and Mary Groleau led the group in singing “The Old Rugged Cross.” It was reported that Carmen Moreau and Dot Wilson were hospitalized and that Irene Hebert had recent surgery.

Dick Bryant was congratulated on his 91st birthday on Easter Sunday. He displayed photos and clippings of the group taken as far back as 1972.

A donation was made to the Treat Memorial Library in memory of Etta Mann and a thank-you was received from Ray and Aline Bryant for a donation in memory of Elodie Blanchard.

The group agreed to purchase bowls for serving when having potluck dinners.

The 50/50 was won by Aurelien Couture, Easter baskets (donated by Alice DeMoras and Joan Lauzier) were won by Patti Couture and Veronica Blanchard, and bottles of sparkling cider (donated by Carmen Moreau) were won by Dora Slovak, Sybil Bailey and Shirley Toncer.
