RUMFORD – Mrs. Yvonne A. Crosby, 79, died Saturday, April 17, at the Rumford Hospital. She was a resident of Penobscot Street, Rumford.
Born in Rumford on July 26, 1924, she was the daughter of George and Edith Gallant Arsenault. She attended Rumford Schools.
She was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford.
She was a member of LeParesseux Snowshoe Club and Robert Shand Post #1641, VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed poker and cribbage, and her Tuesday night poker games with the girls. She was a member of the ladies bowling league at Oxford Lanes in Rumford, and enjoyed her daily coffee at McDonald’s.
She was married in Rumford on Sept. 20, 1947, to the late Thomas W. Crosby, who died in 1987.
Survivors include her daughter, Lee Ann Blouin and her husband Tim of Rumford; a sister, Adeline Richard and her husband Maurice of Mexico; one granddaughter, Heather Mann and her companion Mike Gallant of Rumford; one great-granddaughter, Brittney Mann of Rumford; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob and Joyce Saisi of Rumford, and Gene and Lorena Crosby of Sun Valley, Calif.; brother-in-law James Arsenault of Mexico; the family of her late companion, Ray Bulger; lifelong friends, Julie Favre and Tody Landry of Rumford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Edward (Ted) Arsenault; two sisters, Alice Ames and Irene Arsenault; and a former son-in-law, Brent Mann.
