Volunteers are needed to spend a Saturday cleaning up Twin Cities parks.

Project Neighborhood is sponsoring a community cleanup and celebration from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24.

Lewiston volunteers should meet at Maple Street Park. Auburn volunteers should meet at Festival Plaza. Participants will pick up cleaning supplies and then follow a leader to a particular park or area in need of cleaning. The first 50 volunteers will get a free T-shirt.

Volunteers are invited to a celebration afterward at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center at 145 Birch St. Free food and drinks and family-oriented games and music will be offered.

For more information, contact Lewiston Recreation and Parks at 782-5951 or Auburn Parks and Recreation at 784-0191.
