FARMINGTON – Ben Saviello and Chris Grant combined for 10 strikeouts to lead Mt. Blue to a 5-1 win over Medomak Tuesday afternoon in KVAC baseball action.

Corey Boiker sparked Mt. Blue’s (3-0) offense in the second inning when he stole second and came home on a passed-ball. Steve Wells hit a double, the only extra base hit of the game, for the Cougar win.

Sam Adolphson struck out three and walked five for Medomak (1-2).
Lacrosse

Mt. Blue 10, Cony 4
AUGUSTA – Luke Ferreria tallied four goals and an assist to lead Mt. Blue to a dominant 10-4 victory over Cony in what proved to be a fast paced and aggressive KVAC lacrosse matchup Tuesday.

Garrett Lake chipped in with three goals, while Ben Sinclair, Nate Bolduc and Buzzy Cyr combined for four goals and five assists for the Cougar (2-0) win. The Ram’s (0-2) effort was paced by Joe Jone with three goals, and Chris Gay with a goal and an assist.
Lewiston 12, Oak Hill 1
LEWISTON – Ben Fournier and Robbie Labbe netted three goals apiece to lead Lewiston to a 12-1 rout over Oak Hill in KVAC boys’ lacrosse action Tuesday.

Jon Fournier, Tony Travalini and Zack Sheltra chipped in for the Blue Devils (2-0) with two goals each to complete the scoring. Billy Brooks needed only six saves to notch the win.

Casey Behne scored the lone goal for the Raiders (0-1) in the first quarter. Steve Wood and Anthony Gowell split time in net, combining for 12 saves.
