I would like to let the Sun Journal know how dedicated Sen. Peggy Rotundo has been in providing opportunities to the many individuals who have lost their jobs and who need to retrain in order to seek employment or enter higher education.

Sen. Rotundo has advocated for additional funds for Maine’s adult education programs this year and has spoken eloquently to persuade others in the Legislature of the need to provide adult education to dislocated workers.

Sen. Rotundo has firsthand knowledge of the Lewiston Adult Education program, having visited the Learning Center many times. In this time of transition in Maine’s economy, we need legislators who stand up for the needs of people who are hit hard through job loss. There is no one better able to advocate for Lewiston people than Sen. Rotundo, and I hope voters will support her on June 8.
