BOSTON – Being able to step up to the plate or catch fly balls on the hallowed ground of Major League Baseball’s oldest stadium – Fenway Park, is a fantasy for almost every diehard baseball fan.
This fantasy can become a reality for participants of John Hancock Fantasy Day slated for Saturday, July 17. The event will benefit the Jimmy Fund, and in the event of rain will be held on Aug. 1.
Featuring both daytime and “under the lights” sessions, Fantasy Day has a variety of packages including a Batting package, a Field package and a Fan package. Batters get 15 chances to hit a ball over Fenway’s famed “Green Monster,” while fielders get to test their skills at snagging fly balls or making double plays for an hour on the manicured field. Fans get to take in all the Fantasy Day action from a prime seat in the stands.
Participants who sign up before June 1 may purchase the Batting package for $1,750, the Field package for $750, or the Fan package for $100.
