A public demonstration of support and appreciation for the troops and their families will be held at noon on Saturday, April 24, along U.S. Route 1.

Nadine Tingley, who regularly organizes events of patriotic support, was prompted to create one long yellow ribbon of people along coastal Maine following the recent attack on the 133rd Engineer Battalion in Iraq. At noon on Saturday, Mainers are encouraged to stand anywhere along U.S. Route 1 wearing anything yellow – a shirt, a hat and ribbon – in a public show of support for Mainers serving at home and abroad.

For more information, contact Tingley at 247-2533.
