Bean feed scheduled

FARMINGTON – A public baked bean supper will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the Parish Hall of St. Joseph Church on Quebec Street. Adults, $5; children under 12, $3. Proceeds will go to the Knights of Columbus and the local charities that it supports.

Animal shelter reopening

FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Animal Shelter will hold an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 2, in celebration of its re-opening after an 11-week quarantine. The public is welcome.

PHILLIPS – The Youth Center and activities planning meeting for Phillips, Avon and Madrid will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at the United Methodist Church. The meeting is an opportunity for interested citizens and youth to brainstorm about youth activities.

Society meeting

INDUSTRY – The Industry Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at the Ugly Moose.

The society recently received a corrected updated old town map pertaining to homesteads of early Industry along with other historical items.

The project to have the town signs made up by a Madison artist, Dwight Morouse, is on schedule. Donations are appreciated.

Seniors disband

WILTON – The Wilton Senior Citizens, organized in 1967, voted to disband the club due to aging and declining membership.
