NORWAY – The next Norway Coffeehouse Open Mic Night will be Friday, April 30, at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St. Sign-up for performers begins at 6:30, and the open mike begins around 7 p.m.

Performers of all ages are encouraged to bring and share their acoustic musical instruments, original music and poetry in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

There will be vending opportunities for those artists with CDs or writing for sale, and refreshments will also be available. These evenings have attracted singer/songwriters, magicians, stand-up comedians, poets and dancers, both children and adults, to the stage.

Now in its third year, the monthly open mike nights are hosted by Maine performer and recording artist Heather Pierson. Listeners welcome. Participation is not required. Admission is $3. For more information, call Pierson at 935-4505 or e-mail [email protected].
