Radio talk show host Michael Savage has stated that liberalism is a mental disorder. Rolande Caron’s letter of April 10 could very well prove that point. Caron’s letter states, “The Republican Party, mostly composed of Christian conservatives, opposes abortions while they are praising the killing of innocent Iraqis by supporting Bush,” then says we prefer freeing Iraq from a “mean” dictator to granting equality to gays. Then she compares the torturous death of Christ to the murder of Matthew Shepard.

Caron’s letter is filled with hate, bias and intolerance against Christians.

The fact is that all our founding fathers were strong Christians and our system of government reflects that. Caron can thank Christian conservatives for her right to free speech even though she uses that right to bash Christians.

The U.S. government has never shredded people alive as Saddam has done to his own citizens.

We are at war with Islamic terrorists who hate non-Muslims enough to strap bombs to their own children.

Verbal assaults on our nation and our president embolden our enemy and demoralize our troops, leading to more body bags coming home. Liberals, no doubt, celebrate within themselves because they see a higher American death toll as a means of removing Bush from office.

If such liberal pacifistic views as Caron’s were prevalent during World War II, we might not be enjoying the freedoms so many are taking for granted today.

History proves that only a strong and forceful military response can defeat evil.
