FARMINGTON – Sandy River Players will hold auditions for the popular musical “The Fantasticks” at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, in Nordica Auditorium at the University of Maine at Farmington.
Performances of “The Fantasticks” will be during the first two weekends in October, and cast members need to be available for occasional rehearsals in August.
The cast of eight characters are The Boy and The Girl in their late teens or 20s, The Fathers, El Gallo, The Actor, The Man Who Dies and The Mute.
Auditioners should be prepared to sing a song of their choosing and to read dialogue that will be handed out at the audition. An accompanist will be provided. An audition for The Mute may include a mime routine, prepared or improvised.
