RUMFORD – Mrs. Marjorie L. Chase, 81, died Saturday May 1, 2004 at the Rumford Hospital. She was a resident of River Rd in Mexico.
Born in Roxbury on Feb. 28, 1923, she was the daughter of Chester and Bertha (Whitney) Brown. She attended schools in Hale. She worked at the Dixfield Nursing Home as a cook for over 23 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed playing cards, listening to country music, watching tv and company with her loved ones.
She was married to the late Erwin Chase, Sr. who died in 1989.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth and wife, Louise of Dixfield, Merwin of Fryburg, Erwin Jr. (Chip) of Mexico; daughter, Bonnie Chase Newton of Rumford; sister, Margaret Braley of Conn.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
