LIVERMORE FALLS – Patriots Day was observed Monday by the Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens with 27 members present. “Let There Be Peace on Earth” was sung with Mary Groleau leading.

Sympathy was expressed to the families of Angenette Murphy and Arthur Potter. Chairwoman Shirley Couture announced that Blanche Newell was at Franklin Memorial Hospital with a broken heel.

SeniorsPlus in Wilton has begun holding a Scrabble game at 1 p.m. on Mondays. They also have two trips planned, one to Windjammer Day in Boothbay Harbor on June 23 for $51, and another to Cabbage Island on July 7 for $69. More information may be obtained by calling 645-3315.

Couture thanked all those who helped on the Easter meal. Special appreciation went to Aurelien and Athanase Couture, Jo Slovak and Patti Couture for helping set up tables for the Chinese Auction held Monday. The weekly drawing was won by Patti Couture.
