PORTLAND – The non-profit Maine Telecommunications Users Group will hold its 17th Annual Telecommunications and Computer Networking Conference from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay on Spring Street in Portland.

The keynote speaker for this year’s Conference is noted futurist and Computerworld columnist, Thornton May, whose speech is titled “How Connected Can We Be? Confronting the Crisis of Technology Imagination Head-On.”

The conference will also feature more than 40 exhibit booths and eight educational workshops split into two tracks management and technical on topics ranging from contact center management and regulatory updates to voice over Internet protocol implementation and security strategies. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with hundreds of colleagues in the Maine telecommunications industry.

Vendor displays will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with workshops running in three sessions from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. The registration fee of $30 in advance ($40 at the door) includes continental breakfast and lunch.
