AUBURN – Erin Gendron has joined the staff of Auburn-Lewiston YMCA as aquatics director.

A graduate of Lake Region High School in Naples, Gendron worked at the YWCA of Lewiston for the past five year. She initially worked with kindergarten age children in child care before she began coordinating the evening aquatics program at the YWCA.

Gendron has received certifications in lifeguarding, swim instructor, Real-Fit and national water fitness.

She will oversee all aquatic related programs and has plans to implement several new ones. The water aerobics program alone has tripled since Erin was hired.

Gendron has also been an assistant coach for Twin City Swim team the past two seasons.
