AUBURN – Opening ceremonies for the Auburn Suburban Little League are planned for Saturday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Field, the Senior Girls Softball diamond.
The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Tim Scammon, Scott Whalen and Gus Leblanc. The trio has been an integral part of ASLL for many years and each is stepping down from his appointed position. The league will recognize their efforts and contributions.
New board members as well as managers and coaches will be introduced. The many sponsors will also be recognized.
A slate of games is planned following the ceremonies, as follows: Minor Division: 11 a.m., Enefco vs Dillingham & Son. Major Division: 11:30, Auburn Firefighters vs Dunlap; 2:00, East Auburn vs Pepsi; 4:30, Austin’s vs Hardy, Wolf & Downing. Junior-Senior Division: Sam’s vs East Auburn immediately following opening ceremonies.
