PARIS – The Healing of Persons Exceptional, or H.O.P.E. Center, will be doing some spring cleaning of its labyrinth with the help of volunteers beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 8. The center is at 52 High St. Volunteers will pick up marble, clean it, and then return it to the Labyrinth lines. There will also be some new marble to add.

Ken Hamilton, H.O.P.E. director, said people have said they get a certain feeling when walking the Labyrinth. Those helping are asked to bring a bucket and trowel. There will be refreshments and beverages.

Safety programs

PARIS – A boating safety program will be offered free of charge from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, through Thursday, May 13, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School through the Oxford Hills Adult Education Program. Students ages 10 to 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the full program. Maximum class capacity is 40 students. Pre-registration is required.
