PARIS – The Fare Share Follies will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 14, at in the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Auditorium. This variety show will spotlight the talents of area professional performers including mime dancer Karen Hurll Montanaro, Maine humorist Joe Perham and dancer Debi Irons.

Also performing will be singer-songwriter Leah Wolfsong with Rei Cortez, multi-skilled performer Rick Adam, and musician/vocal artists Jewel Clark and Donnie Katlin.

Follies producer Alan Day promises a last-minute surprise or two involving mystery guests as well.

The Follies were inaugurated three years ago to help raise funds needed by Norway’s Fare Share Co-op in their move and expansion from Tannery Street to Main Street.

Past years’ successes have planted the seed for growing an annual event as a celebration of the community’s creative talents, as well as an enjoyable way to support the growth of Fare Share.

As in the past, at intermission, co-op volunteers and staff will sell snacks and drinks from their wide variety of natural and organic foods.

In addition to the show, the evening will present final opportunities to view and bid on the silent auction items offered by Fare Share members and supporters, including jewelry, massage therapy, food products, and fine arts and crafts.

Tickets for the Fare Share Follies are available at the door or, in advance, at Fare Share Market, 443 Main St., beginning on May 1.

It is open Mondays through Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12. All proceeds benefit the Fare Share Co-operative. For information phone Alan Day at 743-0165 or Lisa Moore at 743-9808.
