PERU – The Families in Crisis Task Force will hold a community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, May 17, at the Rockemeka Grange, 92 Peru Center Road. The menu will include chicken, mashed potato, vegetable and dessert. Donations will be accepted.
Meeting changed to 4 p.m. May 20
DIXFIELD – Dirigo High School’s Promising Futures Action Committee will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at Dirigo High School. This meeting was originally scheduled May 13. Interested citizens are always welcome. Discussion will follow from the April 1 meeting about after-school class offerings for the next school year.
Concert to benefit Moontide festival
RUMFORD – Rick Charette will perform at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at Mountain Valley High School. Tickets are $8 and are available at Hannaford in Rumford. Proceeds will benefit the Moontide Water Festival and Maine’s largest fireworks display.
Scouts plan auto show, business fair
CANTON – The Pine Tree Council Boy Scouts of America Pack 532 will hold an Auto Show and Business Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, on Route 140, near the town ball field. There will be a pine wood derby, concessions, a goods and services auction, door prizes and giveaways. To register a car or business, people can call 597-2024 or visit the Town Office. The registration fee is $5.
