FARMINGTON – Members of the Mount Blue Voices, an a cappella vocal ensemble from Mount Blue High School under the direction of Dennis Hayes, will present their final concert of the school year at 7 p.m. Friday, May 21, in Nordica Auditorium at the University of Maine at Farmington.

This will be the final chance for the public to hear this year’s edition of The Voices in concert.

Group members performed at the Battle of the Blends, an a cappella concert in Lewiston in November; in February, they sang for the opening of the state legislative session for the ninth consecutive year.

And in April, the singers completed a trip to Walt Disney World in Florida where they sang for an international audience. The group has performed more than 30 times since September.

“The Voices have taken their performance to a new level this year,” Hayes said. “The group has always been known for its entertaining style and engaging stage presence, but now they are approaching a professional level.”
