The search for “Butch” Weed’s killer “never ends.”

WILTON – Work continues on the unsolved murder of Raymond “Butch” Weed.

But so far, a piece of information that could break the case open has been ellusive.

Weed, a well-known Wilton contractor, was found shot to death in the entryway of his home two days before Christmas.

Dozens of people have been interviewed, some more than once.

But no new evidence has surfaced. “We always work on it,” State Police Sgt. Walter Grzyb said. “We’re always tying off loose ends. Paperwork never ends.”

State Police investigators are not giving up and work on the case on a daily basis, Grzyb said.

Investigators still have hope that someone will step forward with the information they need to connect the murderer to the case.

Anyone with information can contact police by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 1-800-228-0857.
