LEWISTON – Maine Event Cheer and Training Center (formerly NorthEast Cheernetics and located in the Roy Continental Mill) will be holding cheer team all-star tryouts for the 2004-2005 season as well as open registration for year-round all-star and recreational cheering tumbling programs, all of which are open to males and females.
Maine Event Cheer and Training Center will offer All-Star, Elite, Learn-to-Cheer teams. The All-Star and Elite cheering teams will offer various competition travel options to match participants’ desire to travel. In addition, the center will serve as a full-time tumbling training center, appropriate for all skill levels. The center will also offer pre-season strength-training classes for hockey, soccer, football and baseball.
The center has four tumbling instructors, including Haak Kallweitt and Chris Tarmey, formerly of Andy Valley Gymnastics, and a number of experienced cheer coaches.
Tryouts for the All-Star cheerleaders for next season will be held from May 17-19 at the center which is owned and operated by Tammy Klemanski of Lewiston.
