LIVERMORE FALLS – Police are investigating a break-in at the Lunch Pad on Park Street that was reported early Saturday.

Police also had a call Saturday from a Haines Corner Road resident reporting a .40 caliber handgun was stolen as well as a white pit bull, said Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr.

Steward said a woman reported the items stolen about 3 a.m. when she returned from Lewiston but didn’t want police to respond.

In the Lunch Pad burglary, Steward said someone gained entry to the eatery through a window. Nothing appeared to be stolen, he said.

In another incident, a resident requested more patrol in the Sewell Cemetery area on Pine Avenue because damage was done to some trees at the cemetery, the chief said.
