LEWISTON – The Franco-American War Veterans Post 31 and Unit are the sponsor for this year’s Memorial Day parade, which will be held on Saturday, May 29. Starting line-up will be at 9 a.m. at Kennedy Park. The parade will leave the park at 9:30 a.m. Following the parade there will be a ceremony at the new Veterans Memorial Park at Main and Lincoln streets.

Members recently attended the national meeting as well as a testimonial for the outgoing national auxiliary president, Marion Strong, in Leominster, Mass. They also took a trip to Washington, D.C., to place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.
