WATERVILLE – The Maine Elks Association held its 75th annual State Convention April 30 through May 2, electing and installing its slate of officers for the year.

Installed state president was Luis Morales, Rockland Elks Lodge. Morales indicated that his theme for the coming year would be “Proud of Our Past … Prepared for Our Future.”

Others installed were: first vice president, Elmer Berry, Lewiston; second vice president, Greg Daniels, Presque Isle; third vice president, Bruce Brunelle, Sanford; secretary, Philip O’Brion, Farmington; treasurer: Roger Normandeau, Sanford; chaplain, Roy Bolton II, Skowhegan-Madison; tiler: Ralph Demmons, Rockland; administrative assistant, Claris Ranger, Farmington; and sergeant-at-arms, Neal Beausoleil, Greater Ellsworth. Serving as installing officer was Past State President Robert Carr of the York Elks Lodge

The Maine Elks Association is a nonprofit organization consisting of 22 lodges and more than 11,000 members in the state. The association provides support programs in areas such as Americanism, scholarships, drug awareness and veterans/national service.
