I have to voice my complete shock and surprise that the Sun Journal would allow a picture of a laughing military policeman taken in front of the Abu Ghraib Prison to be placed in the same article of the front-page story of Nick Berg’s beheading on Wednesday, May 12.

That was in very poor taste and I would like to know what was in the editor’s mind in allowing that portrayal? Did the editor think it a joke to have one of our citizens beheaded for the sins of the Army personnel responsible for the abuse of the Iraqis at Abu Ghraib prison?

Quite frankly, the editor responsible for that page is very lucky I am not the owner of the Sun Journal, as I would see to it that that editor was asked to resign for allowing such an article to go to print.
