LEWISTON – Rosalie M. Pond departed peacefully from this earth on May 20, surrounded by her family, bathed by the light of the Lord and the love of her family.

She was born on July 2, 1938, the daughter of Herbert and Leona (Oberton) Rackliff. She was educated in Farmington and graduated from Farmington High School in 1956. She married Delmar Pond on Aug. 30, 1957.

She worked in several area factories and at local nursing homes until her retirement. She enjoyed teaching and playing with her grandchildren, reading, crossword puzzles, and playing with family pets. Her life was lived for others. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She will be sadly missed and will be remembered as one who loved God and family. Rest in Peace.

She is survived by her three daughters and two sons, Debbie Ziehm and husband Rudolph of Auburn, Sonya Pond and companion Vern of Farmington, Rose Bachelder and significant other Wayne Bachelder Jr., Delmar Jr. and partner Kelly Clark of Starks, Terry Pond and companion Chantal Taylor of Farmington; her mother, Leona Rackliff of Farmington; nine grandchildren, Kathleen, Mary, Sarah, Bethany, Andrew, Alvin, Christine, Bryon, and Ethan; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Cameron; four sisters, Leona Mitchell of Fayette, Janice Eagen of Norridgewock, Lorraine Burnham of Jay, and Beverly Rackliffe of Skowhegan; and one brother, Herbert Rackliffe Jr. of Oakland.

She was predeceased by her father, Herbert; her husband, Delmar; a sister, Carol; and two granddaughters, Michelle and Amber.
