DIXFIELD – The Ludden Memorial Library has announced its new summer hours beginning Saturday, May 29; Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:50 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The library will be closed Saturdays from May 29 through Sept. 4.
Quality of life grants available
The River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition in collaboration with the Maine Bureau of Health announces the availability of mini-grants to fund projects to assist new or existing programs that will help to achieve measurable improvement in the quality of life in the River Valley.

Spring cleaning volunteers sought
DIXFIELD – Spring Cleaning of the Museum night will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at the Dixfield Historical Society. Anyone who would like to help vacuum, dust or wash a window is welcome. Bring a vacuum, a cold drink and a friend to help the society get ready for summer.
Kids Free Fishing Day in N.H.
GORHAM, N.H. – Kids can learn to fish and try their luck on the shore of Wildcat Pond at Wildcat Ski Area on Route 16 in Gorham, N.H., on Saturday, June 5, during the White Mountain National Forest’s 13th annual Kids Free Fishing Day.
