John Nutting has already served six years in the Maine Senate and has the battle scars to prove it. One of the most respected lawmakers in Augusta, John’s qualifications are demonstrated in his deeds.

Here are just a couple examples:

• John did the tough homework, got the right answers and wrote the only school funding formula that passed muster. Result: Public schools in his district received an additional (and desperately needed) $10 million in funding.

• Remember the environmental disaster that was the Androscoggin River? The brown foam, the stench? Look at it now. The Androscoggin River is clean and alive for the first time in generations. Thank John Nutting for that, too.

So here’s the bottom line: John Nutting is the only candidate who knows firsthand how to get the right stuff done in Augusta. We need him back in the game.
