Sen. Peggy Rotundo has done a great job representing Lewiston in the Maine Senate. Due to her effective efforts on behalf of the city, we believe Rotundo deserves support in her re-election.

It has come to my attention that suggestions have been made that somehow Rotundo has worked to reduce state workers’ pensions. As a representative of Maine workers, I can state that this suggestion is not true. Moreover, Rotundo has been an advocate for workers, jobs and seniors. She led the fight to position Maine to respond to the effects of global trade agreements that have cost the state thousands of good jobs. She supported increasing the minimum wage, expanding health insurance, implementing Maine Rx and fighting unemployment.

Rotundo has been a great champion of workers and seniors. We hope the voters of Lewiston return this woman of great integrity, intelligence and compassion to the Maine Senate.
