LEWISTON – Voters will get another chance to support or oppose the city’s Farwell Elementary School construction project during a second straw vote next week.

On Monday, June 7, the school system will hold a straw vote on the plan to tear down 50-year-old Farwell school and replace it with a new school on the same 4.6 acre site.

The vote will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Farwell.

The plan was already approved by voters in a straw vote earlier this year.

Two votes are required by the state.

Farwell serves about 320 students in kindergarten through Grade 6. The new school could accommodate about 400 students.
