AUBURN – Several staff positions were recently filled at Pottle Hill Inc.

Suzanne Dunham was hired into the project assistant position at Pottle Hill’s administrative offices in Auburn. She will be responsible for creating the organization’s newsletters, publicity, annual road race promotions – now in its 23rd year, taking place on June 26 – and assist with Pottle Hill’s annual giving program and administrative projects. Dunham’s background is in marketing and communications with more than 20 years in the industry. Suzanne, her husband and son reside in Greenwood.

Tiffany Heath was recently hired as an activities instructor at Pottle Hill’s William T. Twarog Senior Enrichment Center in Auburn. The center provides services to people who have developmental disabilities and dementias, and provides opportunities that promote independence and personal enjoyment in their lives, fostering self-maintenance and expansion of their acquired skills. Heath is responsible for supervising and training persons served in the areas of developing skills for leisure activities, socialization, recreation, health maintenance and self-help/advocacy. She completed her certified nurses aide program through Mid-State College and was employed by Murphy Homes, an organization that provides services to people with mental retardation, before joining Pottle Hill. Heath and her husband and two sons live in Mechanic Falls.

Two other recent hires, William (Bill) Wentworth and Christian Small are the newest members of the Pottle Hill Job Coach team in the organization’s Pottle Works Program located in Mechanic Falls.

Pottle Works provides services to adults and students leaving school who have disabilities. Vocational services are provided through work experience in the community with job development and job placement, and supported work in such settings as industrial cleaning, grounds keeping and light assembly work.

Wentworth and Small will be responsible for training and supervising people who are engaged in these activities as well as helping them in the pursuit of enriching activities such as fishing, hiking, going to the beach and other sports. Wentworth formerly worked at Lakeview Rehabilitation in Effingham, N.H., and Community Partners’ Greenhill Farm group home as a rehabilitation trainer. He has a grown daughter and a son and three grandchildren.

Small is a 2000 graduate of the University of Southern Maine. Upon graduation he joined the Peace Corps where he taught science on the Island of Samoa for three years. He and his wife live in Mechanic Falls.
