POLAND – Stephen N. “Cookie” Cook Sr., 63, of Poland, died Thursday, June 3, at his home.

Born in Hebron Sept. 2, 1940, the son of Walter and Nettie Seavey Cook, he graduated from Hebron Academy.

He had worked for Rod Janelle doing maintenance work, and was later employed for 14 years by No Preference Towing Company. He was a member of the Androscoggin Towing and Safety Association.

He married Donna Furbish on May 28, 1969, recently celebrating 35 years together.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting collectible cars, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

Survivors include his wife of Poland; three daughters, Tammy Veilleux and her husband Randy of Poland, and Karen Veilleux and her husband Mark of Poland, and Geraldine LaLiberte of Lewiston; two sons, Michael Cook and his companion Christina Chickering of Poland, and Stephen Jr. of Poland; nine grandchildren; five brothers, Paul Cook of Lewiston, Randy Cook of Mechanic Falls, Raymond Cook of Lewiston, and John Cook and Jerry Cook, both of Alabama; and two sisters, Judy Cook of Alabama, and Annette Cook.
