STRONG – Roger Lambert has announced his candidacy for the Maine House of Representatives in District 90. He is running as a Republican in this new district that includes Avon, Freeman, Phillips, New Vineyard, Strong, Salem, Temple, Wilton, Washington and Perkins Plantations.

Running as a Clean Election candidate, Lambert said he plans an issue-based, grass-roots campaign.

“As a result of the nature of my business, I have had the privilege of sitting at perhaps more kitchen tables in Franklin County, than anyone,” said Lambert who owns and operates Windowman, a window replacement company. “I know where we’ve been, where we are and where our folks think we should be heading. I want to provide a strong voice, and the leadership it takes to help us get there.”

Over the last year, Windowman celebrated 10 years of business.

Lambert attended Powers College in Boston where he studied communications. He later attended Southern Maine Technical College in South Portland where he studied automotive technology and was president of his class. The combination of the two disciplines led him to join Gordon Racing as public relations director and sponsor liaison for Tracy Gordon’s Busch North Series, NASCAR Touring team.

Lambert has served on the SAD 58 Board of Directors. He has been president of the Strong Alumni Association and a founding member of the Mount Abram Boosters Club. Lambert was co-chair of the Strong Bicentennial Committee. He has moderated scores of town meetings and served on the Franklin County Economic Development Advisory Board.

Currently, he is a member of the Farmington-Wilton Chamber of Commerce, Farmington Rotary Club, Blue Mountain Masonic Lodge in Phillips, the Strong Historical Society and the Sportsmen’s Alliance of Maine. As a master guide, Lambert founded the Maine Guide Service, a group of Master Maine guides who provide a host of recreational opportunities for clients throughout Maine’s western mountains and lakes.

Lambert and his wife, Kathy, live on Church Hill Road. They have raised three children and have two granddaughters.
