We have caused more terrorism, not less with our Middle East policies. The war with Iraq was political propaganda and over 800 soldiers being killed is a wake-up call.

Hundreds of innocent Iraqis have died. We have compromised our credibility in the world with our human rights abuses against prisoners. We have become the terrorists instead of the peacemakers the world looked up to us to be. Since when do you free people by bombing them and then killing and torturing an inordinate amount of people.

We talk about Saddam Hussein and what he did to the Kurds.

Iraq was at war with the Kurds, who the U.S. funded to overthrow Saddam Hussein. Iraq was not at war with us. We sanctioned Iraq, causing thousands to die. We disarm them, then we bomb them and continue to kill them if they resist our way of life. What does that make us?

We have created suicide bombers because we do not see the needs of all mankind and because we choose war over diplomacy. We are the most powerful nation in the world if we choose peaceful solutions to problems. You can’t tell me the world would not follow.
