NORWAY – The Second Congregational Church is seeking donations of used but serviceable items for its Fourth Annual Tents n’ Treasures sale in August.

The church is accepting donations of furniture, sporting goods, games, camping gear, baskets, knickknacks, frames, books, jewelry, antiques, household items, tools, lamps, lawn mowers, chain saws, canoes, instruments, tapes, CDs, toys, stereos and small appliances. It will even accept boats and cars.

All donated items should be clean and in good working condition. Large appliances and clothing will not be accepted.

All proceeds from the sale help fulfill the needs and mission of the church for the remainder of the year.

People donating items may leave them in the barn attached to the parsonage next to the Church at 205 Main St. in Norway, just across from the Guy E. Rowe School. People who want donated items picked up may call 674-2589 or 539-4133, or the church office at 739-2290, and someone from the church will pick up items free.

The sale will run from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, rain or shine. There will be no early sales. The event will also offer home-baked beans and freshly baked goods, and indoor and outdoor plants. Coffee and donuts will be available in the morning. Shoppers will be able to fill a bag for $1 between 1 and 2 p.m.
