WEST PARIS – Madeline A. Farrington, 79, of Rumford, died Wednesday, June 9, at the Ledgeview Living Center. She had resided at the Muskie Building on Congress Street, Rumford.
Born in Mexico, Feb. 13, 1925, the daughter of Harry and Doris (Bartlett) Glover, she had attended local schools.
She had been a member of the Napoleon Ouellette Post 24, American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the the Greater Rumford Senior Citizens, was a volunteer for R.S.V.P. and was a member of the Virgin Memorial Chapel of the Rumford United Methodist Church.
She was married in Rumford on June 14, 1944, to the late Charles A. Farrington.
Survivors include three sons, Eugene Farrington of Rumford, Lewis Farrington of North Turner and Henry Farrington and wife, Janet of South Portland; a daughter, Alice Vance and husband, Peter of Rumford; a brother, John Glover and wife, Elizabeth of Sweden; two sisters, Hazel Ridlon and husband, Stanley of North Waterford and Alice Strout and husband, Russell of Casco; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
