AUGUSTA – Martha Catevenis has joined Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine as its first director of workforce development.
Catevenis, of Lewiston, is an experienced veteran of construction safety training and consulting services.
“ABC is focused on providing value added programming and quality services to its membership, said Chairman Bruce Hilfrank of Zachau Construction. “As industry leaders, we (ABC) believe it’s our obligation to provide affordable access to the absolute best training possible. We expect this will have a very positive effect on the construction industry and its related partners.”
Catevenis holds degrees in occupational health and safety and applied technical education. She is a certified occupational health and safety technologist and certified mold remediator.
She also possesses several Maine asbestos licenses. She is an authorized instructor for the OSHA Training Institute and travels throughout the United States teaching safety in the construction, general industry and shipyard disciplines. She is an adjunct faculty member of Keene State College. Prior to joining the ABC team, she was the assistant safety manager at Granger Safety and Industrial Hygiene Services.
