LEWISTON – Marlene N. Roy has been named an officer in the Deposit Operations Department at Banknorth Group, Inc. in Lewiston.

An operations supervisor in the department’s savings unit, she will continue to be responsible for overseeing the customer service area of deposit operations and other areas.

Roy joined Banknorth in 1989 and has 15 years in banking. She served previously as an internal transfer clerk, and in savings, foreign collections and customer service.

A Monmouth resident, Roy serves as a Banknorth team captain for March of Dimes.

A Lewiston native, she is a 1986 graduate of Lewiston High School. She and her husband, Jim, have two sons.
