LEWISTON – Marie Rose Raymond, 90, of 15 First St., died Sunday, June 13, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion after a long illness.
She was born at Scott Junction, P.Q., Canada, Jan. 31, 1914, the daughter of Louis and Valeda Brochu Dumont. She was a resident of Lewiston since 1922, and was married to Romeo L. Raymond Nov. 26, 1936. She was employed at Bates Manufacturing Co. and retired from Knapp Shoe Co.
She was a member of Holy Cross Parish and the Ladies of Holy Cross. She enjoyed painting by number, reading and watching television.
She is survived by her husband of Lewiston; a son, Ronald Raymond and his wife Bertha of Winslow; 10 grandchildren, Ronald Raymond Jr., Beth Ferry, Lynn Cromley, Mark Raymond, Wendy, Brandy, Rose, Desiree, Steven and Jonn Raymond; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ferry, Jared Cromley, Cheyenne Raymond and Jennifer Ferry.
She was predeceased by a sister, Yvonne Laliberte; and four brothers, Arthur, Doria, Emile and Rosaire Dumont.
