LEWISTON – The Lewiston High School Boys Soccer Boosters Club is sponsoring a 4 on 4 tournament for under-10 players September 11 at Franklin Athletic Facility. Teams will consist of 4 players without any goalkeeper.Athletes must be 10 or younger during 2004 in order to be eligible. Registrations are now being accepted for girls, boys, or coed teams. Road race held

SOUTH PORTLAND – Scott Loomis of Yarmouth (16:14) edged out pre-race favorite, Bob Winn of Ogunquit (16:25), to claim the championship in the inaugural Maine Games/Eastern Trail Alliance 5K Race held June 12.

Christine Snow-Reaser (18:55, fifth) of Dayton, finished ahead of April Wernig of Portland (20:07, sixth) to capture the women’s crown.

Ian Hanson of Livermore finished 10th overall with a clocking of 22:03.
