FARMINGTON – The Fourth of July parade, hosted by the Farmington Rotary Club, will be held on Monday, July 5, since the holiday falls on a Sunday. The theme will be freedom.

All groups and individuals who would like to participate in the holiday parade are asked to gather at the rear of the Mallett School on Middle Street by 9 a.m. for judging, with the procession set to begin at 10 a.m.

There will be ribbons and cash prizes for the top entries in the following categories: youth, business, agriculture, antique car, individual and group. The Old Crow Indian Band will provide the marching melodies.

Rangeley’s festivities will be on Saturday, July 3. Industry’s fireworks are set for July 4. Farmington’s holiday events will be on Monday, June 5.
