AUGUSTA – Jeffrey D. Smith, president of UnitedKingfield Bank, was selected for the Maine Development Foundation 2004-2005 Leadership Maine program.

In 2002, he was named chief operating officer for UnitedKingfield Bank, a subsidiary of CNC. In 2003, he was named president and chief operating officer for UnitedKingfield Bank.

Prior to joining the company, Smith was vice president and manager of retail services for KeyBank of Maine with responsibility for 102 banking offices.

Smith serves as first vice president of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and as a member of the Board of Directors for Maine Bankers Association and United Way of Eastern Maine.

Previously, Smith served as vice president for the Camden Area YMCA and was a member of the Camden Rotary Club.

He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Colby College. He lives with his family in Newburgh.

Leadership Maine is as program of the MDF, which champions sustainable, long-term economic growth for Maine.

The foundation stimulates new ideas, develops leaders and provides a common ground for solving problems and advancing issues.
