The Lakeside Cemetery in Brettuns is not a place for sunbathers. I am disgusted.

I drove in June 11 to visit my family plot and take care of the plant from Memorial Day. Parked across from my family plot was a couple, sunbathing or doing who knows what in the middle of the afternoon. They had a blanket spread on the ground, chairs and food.

I left in minutes and took the plant with me. This is not what a cemetery is for. It is a disgrace to the dead and to me and to my family. I don’t want to ever run into this situation again in that cemetery or any cemetery.

This cemetery has recently been cleaned up, and it looks wonderful. I’ve never seen it look so nice. It is no excuse to sunbathe or do other activities. There are designated places for that activity. What is this world coming to? You can’t even go to your burial plot and not be violated.

I don’t know who these people were, and I don’t want to know. I didn’t speak to or with them and neither did they say a word to me.

I glared at them on the way out and made it clear that I did not like it one bit, if they even cared to notice. What can the town do to put a stop to this behavior?

This is embarrassing and disgusting. Disgraceful.
