I may live in Arizona now, but my parents reside in Auburn, and subscribe regularly to the Sun Journal.
This week they sent me a color photo of a moose, announcing the moose hunt permit winners. Underneath the photo my mother wrote, “I hope he lives!”
How can people actually shoot and kill such magnificent animals? They are part of the lore and symbolism of Maine, and unless their numbers are at preposterously high levels, they should be left alone.
Let me be counted as one who vehemently opposes such a policy, regardless of how limited in scope.
