WEST PARIS – Robert Alonzo Brett, 69, of Tuelltown Road, died Friday, June 25, at his residence. He was born in Lewiston on Nov. 29, 1934 the son of Theodore and Charlotte (Daniel) Brett. He was educated in North Paris grammar schools and graduated from West Paris High School and attended the University of Maine at Orono. He had worked at the A. C. Lawrence Leather for 19 years and later as a boiler operator at Penley’s Mill and retired from the Town of West Paris in 1997.
He was an avid reader, loved farming, hunting and fishing and in his younger years he loved to play horse shoes.
He is survived by four sons, Donald Brett and wife, Holly of West Paris, Ronald Brett of West Paris, Robert Brett of Lewiston and Steven Brett of Augusta; three daughters, Patty Brett of Canaan, N.H., Julie Bret of Lewiston and Norma Brett of Norway; brother, Richard Brett of Calif.; sister, Mary Brett of West Paris; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Ethlyn (Dunn) Brett in 1968; his second wife of 34 years, Priscilla (Skillings) Brett on July 13, 2002 and daughter, Penny Brett in 1970.
